C5 HOUSE AB

Terms of Use

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website c5house.com (the "Website"), operated by C5 House AB ("C5 House", "we", "us", or "our"), corporate registration number 559574-7204, with registered office in Malmö, Sweden. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to the use of the Website only. They do not govern:

Publishing and creator relationships. Submissions of books, art, or games and any subsequent collaboration between C5 House and a creator are governed by our submission process and by separate written agreements entered into between C5 House and the creator. Information provided on the Website about how we work with creators, including on the "For Creators" and "Agreements" pages, is descriptive only and does not constitute a contractual offer or binding commitment.

Purchases. If products such as books, art editions, or games are offered for sale, the purchase is governed by the sales terms presented at the point of sale (whether on this Website, through a retailer, or through a third-party platform).

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a separately signed agreement between you and C5 House, the signed agreement takes precedence.

3. Intellectual Property

The Website and its content — including text, graphics, logos, images, book covers, artwork, game materials, audio, video, and the design and arrangement of the Website — are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws, and are owned by or licensed to C5 House or the respective creators and rights holders.

You may view, download, and print content from the Website for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that copyright and other proprietary notices are kept intact. You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works of any content on the Website without prior written permission from C5 House or the relevant rights holder. Rights in published works remain with the respective authors, artists, and creators as set out in their agreements with C5 House.

4. Press Materials

Materials made available in our press section, such as press kits, cover images, and author biographies, may be used by media professionals for editorial and review purposes in accordance with any instructions provided with the materials. Any other use, including commercial use, requires our prior written permission. Requests can be sent to press@c5house.com.

5. Submissions Through the Website

We welcome submissions from Nordic creators in accordance with the process described on the Website. Please note the following regarding submissions made to us via the Website or by email:

You retain your rights. Submitting material to us does not transfer any intellectual property rights to C5 House. Any licence or transfer of rights only takes place through a separate written agreement.

No obligation. We are under no obligation to review, respond to, accept, or return submitted material, and submission does not create any contractual relationship, agency, or duty of confidentiality beyond what follows from applicable law.

Your responsibility. By submitting material, you confirm that the material is your own original work (or that you otherwise hold the necessary rights) and that our review of it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

Personal data included in submissions is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Website in a way that damages, disables, or impairs the Website or interferes with any other party's use of it; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers, or any connected systems; use automated means (such as scraping, crawling, or harvesting) to extract content or data from the Website without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law; introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code; or misrepresent your identity or affiliation when communicating with us through the Website.

7. Third-Party Links and Platforms

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, retailers, or platforms, including platforms where our books, art, or games are made available. Such links are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of third-party websites, and linking does not imply endorsement.

8. Disclaimer

The Website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". While we strive to keep the information on the Website accurate and up to date, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Website or its content. Information about forthcoming publications, projects, or collaborations is subject to change.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, C5 House shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damage, loss of data, or loss of profit arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory applicable law, including liability arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or affects any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

10. Privacy and Cookies

Our processing of personal data in connection with the Website is described in our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy.

11. Changes to the Website and These Terms

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Website shall be resolved by the Swedish courts, with Malmö District Court (Malmö tingsrätt) as the court of first instance, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence and to use alternative dispute resolution, such as the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN, www.arn.se) or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
